Map Pedometer - How far did you go?

Why did Google screw with a good app? The satellite option is the worst! You can't zoom in as far as before and the resolution on the images are poor. When in full screen mode, how about an "undo last point" button? Now, you have to close the full screen mode to get back to that option to undo.

Today, trying to check a distance, I tried to open a map. It says, "This page can't load Google Maps correctly. Ok" When I hit "OK", a map appears but is in dark grey, with the woods "for development purpose only", scrawled across it and does not give me the opportunity...
