Troubleshooting - Route not following road

Postby Beverly » Thu Nov 24, 2011 1:15 pm

I am on Route #56260 and I can not add another mile marker on the TransCanada - it keeps going off on a side road.
What can I do to remedy this?

Apparently, Google does not know about a section of the TransCanada road. Map Pedometer has three different modes for connecting points along a route. You were using the "Cycling/Driving" map mode which uses Google maps to follow roads between selected points. To work around this problem, load your map route. Then, click on the "Straight line" map mode and manually follow the road for several miles by double clicking along the road. Then, switch back to Cycling/Driving mode and continue your route. We used this method to create route # 56707 which is past the portion of the road that was causing problems.
