Some of us need to navigate by satellite image - vegetation helps when you're off roads & details of buildings often helps.

Thank you for your suggestion for the calorie count feature.
We have satellite map imagery for many areas. Use the map layer selector at the upper right of the map to switch to different map layers including satellite images. For the map layers listed as "Map & Sat", street maps show until you zoom the map in closer. At high zoom levels, the satellite images are displayed.
