How do I track my route as real time

Hello and thank you for reading my question. Is there a way the system will track my route if I plug in a gps to my laptop? Looking for something that leaves a bread crumb trail on all areas my car has traveled. I run a camera car on the road and would like something to let me know if I've already been down that street.
