Routes on footpaths

Post by megbackstedt »

Hi, I am new to all this, could someone please tell me how to add a running/walking route along a footpath. When I try to map the route I've just run it takes me along the main roads. Thanks :D

There are 3 different map route modes that you can use while creating your route:
  • Running/Walking - Default method. Route automatically follows roads. OK to create route against traffic.
  • Cycling/Driving - Route automatically follows roads. Uses road restrictions such as one way roads.
  • Straight line - Allows you to create a route that doesn't follow marked roads.
To follow a footpath, switch the route mode to "Straight line".

You can freely switch between modes while creating your route. While following a road, choose "Running/Walking" or "Cycling/Driving". If you are not following a road, switch to "Straight line".
