Is there a windows app for this? The only apps I find are for mobile devices, not for windows on my laptop. Do I have to continue to log in on the web to use it?

No, Map Pedometer does not have a Windows application. You do not have to be logged in to use the website. But if you are logged in, Map Pedometer offers many additional features such as keeping track of your routes, allowing you to delete your routes, and keeping an activity/running/walking log.
If you select the "Remember me" checkbox when logging in on a private computer, Map Pedometer will keep you logged in without you having to enter your credentials.
