Google Maps does not provide routing information for all off-road trails. In this case, you can't use the automatic routing to create a route along the trail. However, you can create a Map Pedometer route along the trail by switching the routing mode from Run/Walk to Straight Line. Zoom in to the area with the off-road trail. Switch the routing mode to Straight Line. Create a path along the trail by clicking on the map. A straight line route will be created between each point that you click on the map. You can freely switch between Straight Line mode and Run/Walk mode while creating your route.
